Audiometry to measure hearing
Pure-tone audiometry checks the quietest sounds you can hear at different pitches. You sit in a quiet room wearing headphones and press a button each time you hear a tone. It is painless and takes about 20 to 30 minutes. Please tell the clinic if you have a cold or blocked ears, as that can affect the result. The audiogram shows whether hearing is normal and, if not, what kind of loss it looks like.
